Thriller - Editing

Today we started to edit our clips together to finally create our opening sequence. We looked at our storyboard to see which clip needed to go first and found out that it was the establishing shot. We watched the shot back and realised that it was too long even though the shot looked really good and the found was really clear we also noticed that the camera jolted at the end of the clip. We decided to cut the clip down to a reasonable length. Once watching it back again we decided that the clip is the right length and shows enough to introduce the character to the scene. The next clip we edited was the clip of Character A walking towards to cliff. The original clip showed Character A’s feet walking and then a pan up to her face , when re watching the clip we noticed that there were some people in the background when we panned up to her face so we decided to cut to clip at the end where Character A Is walking. The next clip we edited was an over the shoulder shot of Character A looking out off the cliff. When watching the clip we noticed that the lighting was really bright compared to the other clip so it wouldn’t flow , Shaneece came up with the idea of adjusting the colour on the clip which changed the colour of the clip and made it less bright. Shaneece was the one controlling the editing programme as me and Henna didn’t feel as confident using the programme and Shaneece had used it before but me and Henna included our opinions on a regular basis
