Thriller Task - Re-editing
We were originally meant to be filming on the Thursday (15th April) but the weather was dull and cloudy so wouldn’t flow with the rest of our sequence also Annie (one of our actors) was ill so we couldn’t film. We decided to add a new shot of Character A standing at the edge of the cliff while the camera filmed through the trees to make it look like Character B was watching her. I came up with the idea of having a twig snap and then Character A looking around suspiciously thinking someone was there. I also came up with the idea of shaking the trees so it make it look like there was movement coming from within them. To make sure the sound of the twig snapping was clear Shaneece snapped the twig right next to the camera so the sound will come out loud. Shaneece then filmed another new shot which I came up with that was an over the shoulder shot of Character A texting her mum ‘I love you’. I thought that this would be a good idea as it gives the audience an idea that she is a bit to do something and possibly commit suicide. I also re-filmed the pan of Character A walking towards the ringing phone , when filming some little boys came to where we were filming and were in the background of our shots. We asked them nicely if they could move out the way for a bit so we could carry on filming and they did. After filming that shot we had finished all we needed to film so now all we have to do is edit the final parts together before we have finished.
